Recurrent urinary tract infections are more than an occasional inconvenience.
For some women, they become a frustrating cycle of infection, antibiotics, temporary relief—and another infection.

Meggabiotics is developing URIGYN, an investigational, non-antibiotic approach to recurrent UTI.
And we want women involved from the beginning.
Why We're Starting This Initiative
URIGYN is based on a different way of thinking about recurrent UTI.
Rather than relying on another antibiotic to treat an infection after it occurs, our research is focused on using antibodies derived from eggs to target bacteria associated with urinary infections in the intestinal reservoir, where these bacteria may persist between infections.
The objective is to develop a way to reduce the opportunity for these bacteria to reach the urinary tract and cause another infection.
It is an approach that needs to be rigorously studied.
But scientific development is only part of the equation.
We also need to understand what women want.
That's why we are creating the Women's URIGYN Initiative.
We Want Women at the Table
Too often, healthcare solutions are developed for patients without enough input from patients. We want to do this differently.
We are inviting women to help us understand the real-world experience of recurrent UTI and what a better approach to prevention should look like.

The Women's URIGYN Initiative is being created to listen and learn.

- ✓ You don't need to be a healthcare professional.
- ✓ You simply need to be interested in women's health and willing to share your perspective.
We are initially looking for a small group of women to participate in informal discussions as we continue developing the URIGYN program.
Who Should Join?
We welcome women who:

- • Have a friend, family member or partner who has struggled with recurrent UTI
- • Are interested in women's health
- • Want to contribute their perspective to the development of new healthcare approaches
- • Would be interested in learning about future research opportunities
Women of different ages and backgrounds are encouraged to participate.

URIGYN is being developed on the Meggabiotics Platform, a joint USA/Canadian biotechnology company developing novel antibody approaches to human and animal health.
Our broader research program is exploring how antibodies derived from eggs can be used in ways that complement—and potentially reduce dependence on—traditional antibiotic approaches.
URIGYN represents our effort to apply this technology to one of the most persistent problems in women's urinary health and one of the major contributors to Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).
